Clear reporting for a city that never stands still

Daily Dispatch is an independent English-language newsroom in Singapore. We explain what is happening in Parliament, markets, neighbourhoods and boardrooms — with context readers can trust and verify.

Lead stories

Reporting filed from our desk at 120 Robinson Road and from assignments across the island.

How we work

Daily Dispatch was founded in 2019 by journalists who wanted a Singapore-focused outlet that treats readers as informed adults. We do not publish advertorials disguised as news, we do not accept payment for coverage, and we correct errors promptly on the same page where they appeared.

Every story on this site is written or edited in-house. When we cite government releases, company filings or court documents, we link to the original source where possible. Our reporters call primary sources before publication; anonymous quotes are used sparingly and only when a subject faces genuine reprisal risk that we document internally.

We cover Singapore and the wider region because the city is a hub for trade, finance and migration. A factory policy in Johor can affect rental markets in Woodlands; a rate decision in Washington can move REIT prices here within minutes. Our regional desk in the Robinson Road office monitors those connections daily.

The morning briefing

Editors at Daily Dispatch publish a weekday summary for readers who want the essentials before lunch. The briefing is not a substitute for full articles; it points you to verified reporting on our site and notes what we are still confirming.

Typical items include overnight Parliament filings, MAS statements, SCDF incident summaries with location precision only when families are notified, and transport alerts from LTA. We avoid sensational language and we timestamp every item in Singapore time.

Readers may request the briefing by email through our contact page. We do not sell subscriber lists and we do not bundle third-party marketing with editorial mail.

Why readers choose Daily Dispatch

Verified sources

We cite primary documents — Hansard transcripts, SGXNet filings, government media releases and court registers — so you can inspect the original record alongside our reporting.

Transparent corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it on the same page with a dated note. Readers may request corrections through our contact desk without creating an account.

No paywall tricks

Core news articles remain freely readable. Sponsored sections and partner content are labelled at the top of the page before the headline, never mixed into standard news feeds without disclosure.

Our editorial office at Level 14, 120 Robinson Road welcomes scheduled visits from educators, community groups and professional associations who want to understand how a modern Singapore newsroom operates. We do not offer tours during breaking news days when the desk is fully deployed on live coverage.
